Global · Virtual · Admission by interview · Opens once the founding cohort reaches the minimum
Mosaic's full school day, taught live online to students around the world.
Mosaic is a new challenge-based high school in Mississauga. Global Virtual runs the same day online: a live lecture every morning, real projects, a cohort you know by name, and an Ontario diploma track.

The Mosaic approach
How Mosaic Works
Challenge-based learning.
Every unit starts with a real problem. Students learn the content because they need it to solve the problem, which is why it tends to stay learned. The method is adapted from problem-based and integrated-science university programs with a long track record.
Mindsets, skills, then knowledge.
Content matters, and so does the ability to teach yourself something new. Projects are built so students practice both, because the second one is what universities keep saying first-years arrive without.
An international cohort.
You work the same challenge as classmates in Toronto, Lahore, Dubai and London. When you argue about how to price a startup, you find out the answer looks different in every city. No textbook teaches that.
A real credential.
An Ontario Secondary School Diploma, issued by the province of Ontario and accepted by Canadian universities and many abroad.

Who We're Looking For
Admission is by interview. The list below describes the families this works for; the interview is where we find out whether your teenager wants it.
Planning to move to Canada
in the next 1–3 years and want your child arriving with a diploma already in progress
Targeting Canadian universities
and want a recognized Canadian credential without relocating
Expat family
looking for a stronger alternative to your local British-curriculum or IB school
Student in a rigid local system
who wants classmates in other countries and coursework built around real projects
Athletes, artists and competitive performers
whose training schedules don't fit a normal school day

What Your Day Looks Like

You log in at 5, 6 or 7 in the evening, depending on where you live, and the whole cohort is live. Your teacher opens with a real problem: how does a virus spread through a city, or how does a bridge decide what it can hold. You argue it out with classmates in Toronto, Karachi, Dubai and London.
The rest of the work runs on your schedule, around your local school, your training or your family. Your teacher holds office hours twice a week, so independent work never means working without help. Fridays the cohort debates what you built. Once a month, everyone presents.
It is a full school day, run live, at an hour that works in your time zone.
Background
Where This Comes From

Global Virtual grew out of the virtual program founder Amna helped build at The Knowledge Society (tks.world), which now has students in more than 80 countries. Families there kept asking for a full-school version with a diploma attached, so we built one.
Two tracks
Two Tracks
Good schools already use parts of this model: project units, live seminars, cohorts. Mosaic combines them and runs them every day. Both tracks are designed, staffed and priced. Each opens once its founding cohort reaches the minimum. Admission is by interview, and families who complete one are offered places first.

Questions
FAQ
Yes. It is a provincially issued Canadian high school diploma, accepted by Canadian universities and many international ones as a standard secondary credential. If your child has a specific university in mind, we will help you check that school's OSSD requirements.
Apply for the founding cohort.
Book an info session, then an interview. We are looking for teenagers who want harder, more interesting work than their current school gives them, and parents who will back that. If you know a family like that, send them this page.
